Dorset Planning Commission approves minutes, hears permit and regional-plan updates

Gay Squire, chair of the Town of Dorset Planning Commission, opened the Jan. 6, 2026 meeting at 7:00 p.m. and led the commission through routine business.
The commission approved the minutes of the Jan. 6 meeting on a motion by David Berard, seconded by Scott Thompson; the motion carried 4-0-0. Zoning Administrator Tyler Yandow reported that three zoning permits had been issued in January, and Commissioner David McAneny, the BCRC representative, summarized topics discussed at the BCRC meeting on Jan. 16, including the Bennington Town Plan, the Bennington Town Energy Plan and the Regional Plan. The minutes record no public comment and no other business.
The commission set its next regular meeting for March 3, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at the town office and on Zoom. A motion to adjourn, made by McAneny and seconded by Thompson, carried 4-0-0 and the meeting ended at about 7:40 p.m. The minutes were submitted by Zoning Administrator Tyler Yandow and an audio/video recording is archived at the Dorset town office.
