The Tompkins County Legislature on Aug. 6 approved a multi-item consent agenda that included Federal Transit Administration (FTA) operating and formula grants and related grant-transfer authorizations (resolutions A–E in the packet). The package passed unanimously by roll-call vote.
Committee members noted that most of the funds come from federal and state sources with a modest local match; county planning and transportation staff gave a brief explanation of the grants and how partners will allocate funds. The legislature subsequently pulled and moved Resolution F for separate consideration so staff could complete work before leaving; that item was approved after a short discussion with the county’s transportation planner.
