Leo and Jane Post presented a permit request for a double-faced illuminated hanging sign for Couple and Family Therapy, LLC at 1413 Evergreen Road. The Posts described the sign as opaque with thin translucent vinyl letters reading "JP," mounted on a 4-inch square steel tube with a 1/4 amp light source; they said the translucent letters occupy a small fraction of the sign face and that the sign would produce much less glow than nearby lighting.
Councilmember Diane Cook moved to approve the sign permit with conditions limiting illumination to 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. and dusk to 8:00 p.m. using the 1/4 amp source. Hunter Wilson seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The Posts said they had considered adding a photocell and timeclock.
