The Dorset Planning Commission unanimously approved a Design Review application for 41 Church St during its Dec. 2, 2025 meeting. Kit Wallace, presenting the Design Review Committee recommendation, said the proposal would screen propane tanks and a shed with a 6-foot fence; the committee recommended approval.
Commissioner David McAneny moved to approve the application as submitted; Vice Chair Scott Thompson seconded. "The motion was approved 7-0-0," the minutes record. The commission noted the fence was exempt from setbacks under §1101.A and §1101.C(9) but that, because the property is within the Design Review overlay district, a zoning permit is required before construction or installation.
