Council approved an easement agreement Oct. 7 with the owner of 104 East High Street to address a drainage connection to a PennDOT basin. Under the agreement, the borough will supply and install a catch basin on the property; the owner will provide and install a 60-foot pipe from that basin to the PennDOT basin and will excavate and maintain a ditch from the PennDOT basin to Bentley Run. The borough will maintain the pipe and the two catch basins.
Solicitor Wachter prepared the easement agreement and presented it to Council; the motion to approve the easement was made by Councilor Osborn and seconded by Councilor Joyce, and the motion carried as recorded in the minutes. The minutes do not list a property owner by name or specify a construction timetable.
