Board continues work on updated Fiscalini Ranch plan; ad hoc to add budgeting scope

Director Scott and Vice President Dean, who served on the ad hoc committee, described a lengthy cooperative process with Friends of Fiscalini Ranch Preserve (FFRP) and the State Coastal Conservancy that led to an updated management plan and mutual concurrence. Tom Loganville, vice chair of FFRP, told the board the FFRP board had unanimously concurred and submitted written concurrence on May 26.
Director Thomas said he has a roughly 10‑page list of substantive corrections and urged the board to direct staff and the ad hoc committee to review his suggested revisions; Vice President Dean and Director Scott recommended the ad hoc incorporate those written comments and revisit the plan with FFRP and the conservancy before final adoption. The board voted to continue and expand the ad hoc to include budgeting coordination with FFRP, and Directors Scott and Dean will continue as ad hoc members. Public speakers Ted Siegler and other community members urged careful attention to conservation obligations and clarified the distinct roles and perpetual obligations of the parties under the conservation easement.
No formal adoption occurred at this meeting; the board will return the item in July after the ad hoc considers written comments and any technical edits.
