Carneys Point approves two budget insertions worth about $560,000 combined

At its Sept. 18 meeting, the Carneys Point Township Committee approved two resolutions to insert special items of revenue and associated appropriations into the 2024 budget. RESOLUTION 2024-189 inserted $275,000 under the caption "NJDOT Bus Shelter & Stormwater Improvements," and RESOLUTION 2024-190 inserted $285,714.28 under the caption "Assistance to Firefighter Grant." Both motions were made by Mr. Pelura, seconded by Mr. Bomba, and passed unanimously.
Committee members did not record additional conditions on the grants during the public meeting. The motions were approved by unanimous vote and will be reflected in the township's 2024 budget documents and accounting.
