Mayor Brown and Recreation liaison Shaw reported multiple upgrades and upcoming events for Dunns Park and the Recreation Complex.
Ms. Shaw said the Recreation Improvement II equipment shipment is delayed by two weeks, "The fall flags have been placed in Dunns Park," and staff have installed benches around the fountain and ordered bleachers for fields 2 and 3. She listed forthcoming community events: a Dog Halloween Costume Party Oct. 23 at 6 p.m., Trunk or Treat Oct. 30 at 6 p.m., and Christmas in the Park on Dec. 7; a holiday-lights map is expected in November.
During public participation, a resident asked about veteran flags ordered previously; Mrs. Shaw said the prior vendor ceased operations, the Township received a refund and a new supplier will fulfill orders so flags will be placed around Veterans Day. The Committee approved routine park maintenance funding and noted the fountain overflow was recently repaired after the overflow valve was jammed.
