The Committee approved the appointment of Richard Saunders as a substitute building and fire inspector to serve on an as-needed basis (Resolution 2024-169). Members also adopted a Donated Leave Policy intended to allow employees to donate accrued leave to colleagues in need (Resolution 2024-175).
In a housekeeping move the committee approved an amendment extending the Allie's Heaven Scent Cleaning Service contract end date from Aug. 31 to Dec. 31. Mr. Pelura described the change as "just a house keeping change." The Committee also discussed hiring a substitute Code Officer to provide coverage for vacations and reported the tax office had hired a part-time tax collector to stabilize operations.
