Commission approves agricultural protection area for Riverside, despite public opposition

The commission then closed the hearing, moved to pass the resolution (motion by Commissioner Perry, second by Commissioner Bingham) and approved it by voice vote. The resolution creates the protection area; implementation steps and any related county actions will follow standard planning and agricultural-board processes.
