Three ambulances delivered; county EMS and Rescue report training progress

Director Rick Valentine, reporting for the Department of Emergency Medical Services, told the Emergency Services Committee that "the three (3) ambulances ordered in the previous fiscal year have been delivered and are in service." He said vehicle delivery time is "roughly eighteen (18) months," information the committee may use when planning future fleet purchases.
Chief Dustin Sutton of the Sevier County Rescue Squad reported that his team completed more than 200 hours of training in February. Committee members were given operational updates reflecting both equipment and personnel readiness; no procurement votes or budget adjustments were taken at the meeting.
