Kent Woods elected chairman of Sevier County Budget Committee

Commissioner Warren Hurst nominated Commissioner Kent Woods; Commissioner Ronnie Whaley seconded the nomination and Commissioner Bryan Delius called for nominations to cease. The motion passed unanimously, electing Kent Woods as chairman.
The election was procedural and took place at the start of the March 6 meeting. The committee did not record any dissenting votes. With a chairman in place, the committee proceeded to consider several administrative agenda items, including a compensation resolution and procurement authorizations.
