The Colfax City Council noted on July 6 that Concrete River Day is scheduled for Saturday, July 11 and will include a ribbon cutting and the grand reopening of the pool.
Mayor Jim Retzer said the grass area inside the pool is being utilized and staff are still working out issues with chlorine and chemical levels. He added the city has ordered sunshades for the pool but that installation will not occur until the fall because installing the shades would require shutting down the pool.
The announcement was part of routine "Good of the City" items; no formal action was taken and the council adjourned at 7:15 p.m.
