The Rio School District Board reported on Oct. 15 that it took action during closed session to approve settlement agreements in two matters.
President Kristine Anderson reported: “In closed session, the board, by a vote of 4-0, took action to approve the settlement agreement OAH Case No. 2024000991.” The board also approved an amendment to a settlement related to the City of Oxnard litigation (Ventura County Superior Court Case No. 56-2023-00575575-CU-WM-VTA) and delegated authority to the superintendent to finalize terms. Anderson said details will be available on request once signed and approved by all parties.
Because these matters were addressed in closed session, the board provided only the summary actions and voting outcome in open session; the full settlement documents were not read into the public record at the meeting.
