Comal County accepts October tax-collection report, approves 2024 tax-levy certification

Kristen Hoyt, the Tax Assessor-Collector, presented the first collection report for the 2024 collection year and told commissioners that tax bills have been issued and the county is seeing an influx of online payments. "Tax bills are out. We're already seeing an influx of payments, a lot of online payments," she said.
Hoyt also presented the county's 2024 tax-levy certification as required by tax code; Commissioner Webb moved to approve the certification and the court carried the motion. No changes to levy rates or specific amounts were discussed on the record during this meeting beyond the certification presentation.
