During discussion, one commissioner observed that neighboring counties had added the Friday of Christmas week but said county staff advised keeping the existing schedule and having employees use vacation time because of banking and tax-office timing. "Probably better to keep that, and then have our employees use a vacation day, because of the banking aspect of it and the tax office aspect of it," the commissioner said. The court then voted to approve the holiday schedule as presented.
No changes were made to the schedule at the meeting.
