"We've been doing this, I think, 8 years now and the VA decided we have to have a contract," Judge Charles Stevens said after the court described the document as an administrative contract drafted with assistance from the district attorney's office. Commissioners approved the authorization and directed the judge to sign.
Commissioners praised the Veterans Treatment Court for its work. The approval was characterized as procedural—continuing an established relationship while adding a formal contract requirement from the VA.
