County staff recited county totals for federal and statewide contests as part of the official canvass presentation. For U.S. Senate, Ted Cruz received 71,757 votes and Colin Allred received 29,149 in Comal County. For U.S. Representative District 21, Chip Roy received 66,045 votes while Kristen Hook received 22,098.
County totals for railroad commissioner and other statewide offices were also read aloud. The court accepted the totals and approved the canvass without further comment or public testimony.
