The Comal County Commissioners Court approved the official canvass of the Nov. 5, 2024 general election during a special meeting on Nov. 19, 2024. Miss Jaquay presented a shortened canvass packet and the court voted by voice to accept the results.
Miss Jaquay moved the court to approve the canvass orally: "I move to approve the canvass of the November 5th, 2024 election." The presiding officer recorded that Commissioner Ecclestone made the motion and Commissioner Hogg seconded it; the court then called for those in favor and the presiding officer said the "motion carries." The commissioners took no separate roll-call tally during the meeting.
The meeting record shows staff offered a condensed version of the canvass in lieu of a longer 95‑page report. With no further business, the court recessed and adjourned the special meeting.
