"The total cost of the annual cost of the software is $160,000 for the system," Robert Boyd said, adding that "WORD is putting in $53,000 a year" and the county would cover the remainder plus maintenance and hardware.
A WORD representative, Mike Ducere, addressed the court to thank county staff and expressed support for the replacement system, saying it would improve communication and execution of warnings. The court voted to approve the interlocal agreement and authorized the county judge to sign.
