Comal County officials moved to install a four-way stop at the intersection of Copper Acres and Copper Heights after a sight-distance analysis showed the intersection did not meet AASHTO stopping-sight-distance criteria for 30 mph.
David Valbert presented the study and explained the department "used our standard, sight distance, protocols" and that the criteria were not met. He and staff recommended the four-way stop as a safety measure. Commissioner Hogg moved to approve the installation, Commissioner Eccleston seconded, and the court approved the motion by voice vote.
