City hears concession request, Opera House update and property concerns from residents

Several visitors addressed the commission during the Items from Visitors portion of the meeting on July 20.
Rob Lester of Gold Star Concessions requested permission to place a candy machine at City Hall; commissioners had no objections. Todd Jones, representing the Historic Homestake Opera House, provided an update on activities and ongoing projects. Pamela Berreth asked the city to investigate overgrown weeds and vegetation on a neighboring property. Pam Millard said she found the city's sign ordinance difficult to interpret and asked that the city measure her building at no cost so she can determine which banners are permitted during a rally.
