Commissioners reviewed estimates for the update. Members discussed a $11,500 estimate for a comprehensive update that would include the Heroux parcel and noted that a timber inventory—if required—would add cost; one commissioner urged obtaining a timber‑inventory quote now to compare long‑term costs. "We would need to authorize up to 11,500 and to talk to the town about using a single source contracting process," a commissioner said. The commission amended the authorization to a round $12,000 and approved the funding request by voice vote.
Staff were asked to circulate the current conservation fund balances and to follow up with the town on single‑source approval if the commission chooses to keep the current vendor (Moosewood Ecological). The stewardship update will allow the commission to meet easement requirements and to decide whether a future timber harvest is feasible.
