Conservation commission formalizes co‑chair arrangement, names Alan Stein to share chair duties

The Hooksett Conservation Commission voted to formalize a co‑chair arrangement so Chair Joe Carroll Woodburn and Vice Chair Alan Stein will share chair responsibilities and communications.

Joe Carroll Woodburn opened the meeting and announced that he and Alan Stein would both receive commission communications and alternate in running meetings. "Al will be able to do that since he likes to take on that role," Carroll Woodburn said when introducing the proposal. Alan Stein explained the rationale, saying the arrangement would allow the commission to "combine our strengths in kind of a synergistic way to make the conservation commission work better." The commission moved and approved the change in membership roles and will have Stein chair some meetings going forward.

The action was placed on the record early in the agenda so Stein could lead the current meeting. The commission did not attach additional duties beyond shared administrative responsibilities and standard recordkeeping for chair functions.
