DeBusk Farms seeks removal of expiration on RV‑park permit for 16 sites at Buckeye Hollow Road

Zoning Administrator Becca Creasy reviewed the special‑use requirements and noted the permit was originally approved in 2018 with a six‑year expiration and was extended in 2024 for another six years.
John DeBusk said the campground historically functioned as a work camp for AEP crews but that he wants to open and improve the site for public use. He described plans for capital improvements including a bathhouse that would connect to one of three existing septic systems and said the campground currently contains 16 sites. DeBusk said a private trash service is under consideration for routine collection and that he asked that the expiration date be removed so he can invest in permanent improvements.
Planning Commission Chair Hazel Wagoner and staff answered technical questions about capacity and septic connections; no members of the public signed up to speak. The Board closed the hearing and adjourned; no final Board action on removing the expiration was recorded at the March 26 meeting.
