Slaughterville trustees adopt FY 2026-27 budget, double fuel allowances

Town Administrator Carol Lance presented the proposed budget and provided additional information requested by the board. Trustee Kathy Snellbaker recommended doubling the proposed fuel amount for each department; Mayor Steve Easom moved to accept the budget with that change and Herb Rousey seconded. The motion passed unanimously (Yea: Grady, Easom, Luby, Snellbaker, Rousey). The meeting minutes record the board's acceptance of the revised figures.
The board also approved Resolution No. 2026-0521 to adopt the FY 2026-2027 budget and establish budget amendment authority; the trustees amended the resolution to change the title "Chief Executive Officer" to "Town Administrator" before adoption. The resolution was moved by Mayor Easom, seconded by Trustee Brad Luby and passed by the full board.
