Public Safety staff updated the Board on the Motorola radio system project, reporting incomplete grounding and remaining code plug issues and noting a new Motorola project manager, Paul Bromley, has taken a more hands-on role. Director of Public Safety Curtis Crawford said invoices for grounding work have been received but the work remains incomplete and that payment would be withheld until the work is finished.
County Administrator Shawn Utt reviewed Motorola Radio Project Change Order #4 and said it is a beneficial adjustment that reduces the contract price by $15,100. The Public Safety Committee recommended approval and the recommendation passed unanimously as a committee action; the Board recorded the committee’s recommendation in the meeting record.
