Town Office to get solar panels, window and HVAC upgrades; 5% deposit required

At the April 30 meeting, Dana Patoine updated the Select Board on planned energy-efficiency improvements for the Town Office and garage. Patoine said solar panels will be placed on both roofs, windows will be replaced, and an air/heat mini-split system will be installed. She said a 5% deposit is required when the contract is signed.
Patoine added that if any money remains after those upgrades, the town could use it to replace the main heating unit. Town Clerk/Treasurer Patti McClure was present for budgetary matters; no formal contract award or vote was recorded in the minutes at this meeting.
