Vermont AOT representative Logan Perron told the Sutton Selectboard the grant originally issued for Fiddlehead Lane Bridge improvements prior to the 2024 flooding remains available to the town and that Sutton has set those funds aside for a future structures grant.
Perron recommended the town wait until 2027 to apply those funds for a structure to allow time to see whether additional funding becomes available from the Vermont Agency of Administration. He also suggested sending the 2025 Pudding Hill Road Bridge inspection report to Doug Morton so the bridge can be placed on lists for future grant consideration.
No specific dollar amounts or formal grant application dates were provided at the March 11 meeting. The board did not take further formal action on the Fiddlehead Lane funds during the session; Perron’s recommendations were presented for the board’s planning.
