Sutton to switch propane suppliers after AmeriGas delivery problems

Town Clerk/Treasurer Patti McClure told the board she contacted several propane dealers after service issues with AmeriGas; she proposed switching to Bourne's propane, which she found at $1.699 per gallon and would hold that price through June 30, 2028.
Patti McClure and Highway Foreman Shane Heath said AmeriGas had been unreliable, noting the town ran out of propane and staff were unable to reach local AmeriGas contacts. "AmeriGas costs are over $2.00 a gallon and they are not dependable, the town ran out of propane and Patti and Shane could not get hold of anyone local," the minutes record. The board agreed the change would be implemented in spring when tanks can be removed and replaced by the new vendor.
