The Village Board of Bloomington approved the July 2025 accounts payable report, authorizing total payouts of $44,471.24, with $27,589.00 from the General Fund, $7,328.00 from the Water Utility Fund and $9,554.00 from the Sewer Utility Fund.
The meeting recorded multiple unanimous motions: approval of the meeting agenda and July 7 minutes; acceptance of the accounts payable report; a motion (Mergen, second Moris) to apply to the Public Service Commission for approval to charge a $1,000 water system connection fee; a motion to split the cost of removing a village-owned tree on Third Street with the homeowner at 730 3rd Street; a motion to complete and return the 2026 County Aid Construction petition for road improvements; and a motion to pay one half the cost of sidewalk replacement at 628 4th Street. The Board also voted to enter and then reconvene from a closed session under Statute 19.85(1)(c). All motions were carried with "all in favor" recorded.
The Clerk reported she is catching up on bank reconciliations that lagged during her leave of absence. President Robert McLimans reminded the Board the next regular meeting is scheduled for Sept. 2, 2025, at 6:00 p.m.
