During the Sept. 23 meeting, Clerk/Treasurer Shawna Atterbury reported Medical Associates health insurance rates for the village would increase by 18.4%, raising the current monthly premium from $2,233 to $2,633.19.
Atterbury also said the plan's single deductible would rise from $6,000 to $6,500 and the family deductible would be $13,000. She noted one offset: primary-care visit copays would drop from $35 to $20. Committee members heard these figures as they reviewed expense projections and factored insurance cost increases into the 4% placeholder used for the draft budget.
