The board voted to solicit further bids to possibly replace the sidewalk on Main and Cincinnati from the Pirate's Den to the barber shop at 8 S. Cincinnati Ave. Debra Burch, speaking for the Sperry Economic Development Authority, told trustees the sidewalk is decaying and that two bids had already been received; the board requested additional bids and asked staff to explore potential assistance from the Cherokee Nation.
The motion to solicit bids passed unanimously. Trustees signaled an interest in evaluating more bids before awarding work and in seeking external assistance for the project.
