Village OKs Trick or Trot route details and sets trick-or-treat hours for Oct. 31

Clerk/Treasurer Shawna Atterbury relayed an email from organizer Ellena Gage informing the board that the Trick or Trot 5K for the Alzheimer's Association will begin at BoxLogix at 9:00 a.m. and use the same course as previous years; Atterbury said the event raised over $1,000 last year and that organizers handled traffic control without village-managed roadblocks.
Atterbury also described plans from Katie Webb and Jeannie Hamilton for a community "Spooky Halloween Night" starting at 3:30 p.m. Oct. 31 with a costume contest, trick-or-treating at local shops, a scavenger hunt, and pumpkin carving. After discussing the Legion's Halloween party start time, the board set village trick-or-treating hours on Oct. 31 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
