Company says straws and cups are certified compostable; testing details provided

"...it's certified compostable for both commercial facilities and for home compost," the company representative said, noting independent third-party certification and that cup testing in biologically active landfills showed roughly 92% degradation over four years in wetter active landfill conditions. The company said documentation of testing is available and that it is developing paper cups and cutlery lines intended to biodegrade.
Panelists said they would provide test language and supporting documents where requested; commenters also asked whether WindCup does community composting education and were told the company currently has no active community programs but would be open to discussion.
