The Bristow City Council opened a public hearing on amendments to Chapter 22 (Planning, Zoning and Development), Article XI, at its special meeting on Aug. 11, 2025. Councilmember Judd Johns moved to open the hearing, seconded by Joe Church; the motion passed on a roll call vote with the members present voting Aye.
City Attorney Beth Anne Childs briefed the council that the Planning & Zoning Board recommended approval of the proposed ordinance changes and highlighted two substantive edits: replacing the "Industrial Uses in Excess of 40 Acres" entry with "Industrial Uses in Excess of 20 Acres" in Section 22-602, and revisions to height requirements in Section 22-603. After the presentation the council closed the public hearing (motion by Joe Church, seconded by Heather Green) and later adopted the ordinance and declared an emergency. The official record lists Councilmember Jeff Roberts as seconding an adjournment motion later in the transcript, but the roll call earlier in the meeting recorded Roberts as absent; that inconsistency is noted in the meeting record and the clerk's file should be consulted for the official minutes.
