Council approves consent agenda including Heartland Industrial Park legal and engineering payments

At the start of the Aug. 4 meeting the council approved a multi-item consent agenda that included routine maintenance and payroll claims and several grant-funded vendor payments.

The council approved maintenance claims of $108,987.35, unpaid claims of $233.83, paid claims of $10,116.00, actual payroll claims of $113,347.43 for the pay period ending Aug. 1, 2025, and estimated payroll claims of $120,961.09 for the pay period ending Aug. 15, 2025. Notable consent items included Claim #20155 to The Childs Firm, PLLC for $1,025 for legal work on the Bristow Heartland Industrial Park (paid from an Oklahoma Department of Commerce grant) and Claim #20154 to Holloway, Updike & Bellen, Inc. for $7,000 for engineering on the final design for the Heartland Industrial Park (also paid from the Oklahoma Department of Commerce grant).

The council also approved a Blanket P.O. Claim #16390 to Kimberly A. England not to exceed $18,874.00 per year (paid from the Library Transformation Community Grant) and up to $6,120.00 from the Adult High School Completion Grant, Claim #20157 to Andy Armstrong for $1,000 for grant administration on the Heartland Industrial Park (paid from the Grant Match Fund), and Claim #20158 to The Childs Firm, PLLC for $3,950 for legal work in July (General Government fund). The motion to approve the consent agenda was made by Councilmember Joe Church, seconded by Judd Johns, and passed by roll call with all members voting Aye.
