Superintendent says transportation tracking app is live; district launching career-interest survey and enrichment programs

DeFalco provided updated attendance data (attached to his report) and said the family transportation tracking app "is up and running and administrators are monitoring bus runs on the desktop version." He said a survey of students in grades 7–11 is being administered to identify career interests; he and high school staff plan to meet with the Marlborough Economic Development Council on Dec. 11 to share results and seek input on aligning student interests with local workforce needs.
DeFalco also said the FY27 school district budget is in development, the district received an update from the Assabet Valley Collaborative regarding SY 25–26, and initial enrichment programming is being launched at Richer School and Jaworek School. Committee members received the report; no budget votes were taken at the Dec. 9 meeting.
