The Child Nutrition Program Task Force met June 4; staff reported receiving 81 responses to a parent/student survey and said the group has begun reviewing and recommending edits to the 8200 Wellness policy series. Staff also said LPOSD is donating a stove and that LPOSD's walk-in freezer is out for bid while the district's Bus Barn freezer has problems that warrant evaluation.
Separately, staff said the Career & Technical Education (CTE) program received another $9,000 that needs to be spent by the end of the month (described as a closeout of a teacher account plus state funds). The committee discussed options for marketing CTE programs and suggested bringing proposals for a marketing person to the board for consideration. Staff said they would promote the summer meal program on the JHS reader board.
