The West Bonner County School District #83 Finance Committee met June 11, 2026 and called the meeting to order at 4:37 p.m.; committee members Kendra Salesky, Kathy Nash, Kerri Martin, Frankie Dunn, Kim Spacek and Margaret Hall were present, and guest Ann Yount was listed.
Staff reported that audits for FY24 and FY25 are in progress with auditor Hayden Ross and that the budget hearing is scheduled for next week; staff said they are reviewing the budget "fund by fund" to prepare for FY26-27 decisions. The committee discussed operational changes, transportation purchases and facilities bids that will affect the FY26-27 budget process.
The meeting covered transportation fleet updates (new buses arriving and older buses to be decommissioned), facilities roof bids for Priest River Elementary and Priest Lake, a bus-camera procurement tied to an 85% grant, CTE closeout funds of about $9,000, and a child nutrition task force report that included 81 parent/student survey responses. No formal motions or votes were recorded in the minutes.
The committee confirmed its next meeting for Thursday, July 9 at 4:30 p.m. at the District Office.
