Saint George council adopts $543.7 million FY2026–27 budget; no property tax increase proposed

Robert, the city's finance presenter, walked the council through the FY2026–27 budget and the accompanying business plan, outlining priorities including public-safety equipment and facility investments, transportation projects and parks improvements. He said the combined budget across all city funds was roughly $540.2 million before two staff amendments that raised the total to $543.7 million.
Council discussed proposed amendments (a $55,793 upward adjustment tied to final growth property values and a $3.5 million drainage payment tied to developer infrastructure) and moved to adopt the final budget with those amendments. "This budget is not just a financial document, it's our action plan for the year ahead," Robert said, and the council adopted the resolution for final budget approval in a unanimous roll-call vote.
