Dupo CUSD 196 approves retirement, multiple hires and accepts paraprofessional resignation

At its Jan. 27 meeting the board approved the retirement of Charlotte Beckmann (effective end of 2025-26), accepted the resignation of paraprofessional Aubrea Mitchell effective Jan. 23, 2026, and approved several hires including a Special Education teacher and substitutes.
The board approved a suite of personnel actions Jan. 27, including the retirement of Charlotte Beckmann effective at the end of the 2025–2026 school year and acceptance of the resignation of paraprofessional Aubrea Mitchell effective Jan. 23, 2026. Member DeClue moved to approve the retirement and Member Mushaney seconded; Member Stoll moved acceptance of Mitchell's resignation with Member Carroll seconding. Both motions passed 6-0 with one absence (Member Agnew-Bennett).
The board also approved employment of Kayla McGillem as a Special Education Teacher (effective Jan. 5, 2026), employment of ESP substitutes Angela Reeg and Joseph Haven III pending successful background checks, employment of Anna Moro as a Playground/Crossing Guard Monitor effective immediately, and appointment of Brian Schutzenhofer as Assistant High School Baseball Coach (paid), effective immediately. Each motion was recorded as passing unanimously among attending members.
