Board rejects covenant amendments to allow CCSI–SWIC build-to-suit lease

The board considered a motion to approve Special Covenant Amendments to the Career Center of Southern Illinois (CCSI) intergovernmental agreement to permit and authorize an intergovernmental agreement and a build-to-suit lease with SWIC (Southwestern Illinois College) for development and occupancy of a new CCSI campus and facility. Member DeClue moved the motion and Member Miller seconded it.
The motion failed, with the minutes recording zero ayes and six nays (Members Carroll, DeClue, Miller, Mushaney, Stoll and Stumpf). Member Agnew-Bennett was listed as absent.
