At its Sept. 23 meeting the Darien Public Schools District #61 Board approved the consent agenda covering routine financial and personnel items.
The recording shows approval of bills by fund: Education $247,845.88; Operations & Maintenance $103,972.73; Transportation $45,816.69; Capital Projects $342,805.00 — a total of $740,440.30. The Board also approved payroll and the minutes of the Aug. 26 regular meeting.
Personnel actions approved included hires: Alyssa Gross, nurse at Eisenhower Junior High (start date 09-08-25); Anjianelly Polanco, paraprofessional at Lace (start date 09-10-25); and Kristina Dickens, paraprofessional at Lace (start date 10-06-25). The minutes also record a resignation: Natalie Pinski, paraprofessional at Mark DeLay, effective 08-27-25, and announced retirements for Anna Pescatore (effective 01-05-26) and Sue Bolton (effective 01-23-26). Board members noted these positions will be difficult to fill and asked district leadership to explore options.
The consent agenda passed on a roll-call vote with all members recorded as voting yes.
