Board approves administrative appointments and multiple personnel actions

The Cicero SD 99 Board approved a wide range of personnel actions at the April 23 meeting, including administrative appointments for the 2026–27 school year. The board approved Jeanne Tanaka as principal at Columbus East, Joanna Lago as Director of Teaching and Learning for grades 6–8, and Dr. Benjamin Zulauf as Director of Teaching and Learning K–5.
In addition to those administrative approvals, the board approved certified hires (including school psychologists), multiple resignations and retirements, and several non‑certified hires (part‑time custodial and bus staff). The minutes also list several rescinded employment offers for part‑time bus drivers and lunchroom supervisors and approvals to terminate several substitute custodians. The board moved and passed the Personnel Report by roll call vote; Member Terracino moved and Vice‑President Dominick seconded the approval.
