Board accepts multiple resignations and approves new hires, activity coach

Illini Central CUSD 189 accepted resignations and approved new staff appointments on March 19, 2026.
The board accepted resignations effective at the close of the 2025-26 school year for Ryan Burks (high school teacher, athletic director, boys basketball coach, concessions), Kristin Moellenbrink (grade school teacher) and Allisa List (Pre-K parent educator). The resignations were approved by voice vote 7-0.
The board also approved the employment of certified staff for 2026-27: Kaitlyn Powell as a grade school teacher and Elizabeth Heubner as grade school dean of students; both approvals were passed by roll-call vote. Joel Peterson was approved as high school volleyball coach. These personnel motions were made and recorded in open session following the closed session on personnel.
