The Komarek School District 94 Board of Education heard a detailed list of summer building and grounds work at its May 12 meeting.
Mrs. Suzy Stevens said the district will continue replacing doors in the renovated and east buildings in June and will clean rooftop drains, replace the auditorium floor with luxury vinyl tile and complete tuckpointing on the north and east elevations in mid‑July. She said staff will also conduct deep cleaning, regular HVAC filter changes and exterior campus maintenance such as watering and landscaping. She added that "Mr. Lopez is in the process of scheduling required annual inspections that include elevators, fire extinguishers, the fire alarm system, sprinkles [sic], and bleachers."
The board received the update as part of routine facilities planning and did not vote on capital changes during the meeting.
