Administration proposes updated, tiered facility rental policy to boost community use and revenue

Assistant Superintendent Jose Jaramillo and CSBO Dr. Douglas Wildes briefed the committee on planned revisions to facility rental procedures and fees, noting the current fee schedule has not been updated since approximately 2014 or 2015.
"The current facility rental policy and fee schedule have not been updated since approximately 2014 or 2015," Mr. Jaramillo said, explaining proposed changes would create a tiered structure that offers flexibility for nonprofits and local organizations while charging different rates for outside for-profit groups. The administration emphasized preserving priority access for Fenton students and school programs while increasing community use and generating additional revenue. Updated proposals will return to the Board for future consideration.
