The Lemont Township High School District 210 Board of Education on March 16 authorized preparation of the district’s FY2027 budget and approved a provision permitting purchases up to 75% of that budget before the new fiscal year begins. Member Michael J. Kardas, Sr. moved to approve the Consent Agenda that included the budget authorization; Member Sarah Pocic seconded the motion and the roll call vote was unanimous in favor.
Chief School Business Official Ken Parchem had presented the district’s financial reports as of Feb. 28, 2026 and previewed the annual budget preparation action before the board placed the item on the Consent Agenda. The fiscal year was set as July 1, 2026–June 30, 2027 in the approved authorization. The approval was recorded as Action Consideration #25-70 in the meeting minutes.
The board approved the item as part of the Consent Agenda alongside routine items including minutes, bills and payroll. No amendments or conditions to the FY2027 authorization were recorded in the minutes; the board did not record any dissenting votes.
