Komarek schedules multiple safety inspections, auditorium floor replacement and tuckpointing work

During the June 9 meeting Board member Suzy Stevens outlined a schedule of required safety inspections and ongoing building projects at Komarek School. Inspections listed included fire alarm, elevator, fire extinguisher, bleacher, and sprinkler inspections; Stevens also described facility projects such as replacing doors in renovated and east buildings, cleaning rooftop drains on new and renovated school roofs, replacing the auditorium floor with luxury vinyl tile, and tuckpointing on the north and east elevations of the renovated school.
Stevens also said the district will undertake a deep cleaning of the entire school, maintain HVAC systems including regular filter changes, and continue exterior upkeep such as watering and landscaping. The minutes record these items as being scheduled "over the next few weeks."
